Head Coach
Kyle McKee
Kyle McKee is the Head Wrestling coach at North Gwinnett High School. He is the former assistant at Archer High School. Coach McKee helped lead the tigers to back to Back State titles, two undefeat-ed seasons and the highest national ranking of any Georgia High School Wrestling team finishing #5 in the Country. Coach McKee received the NWCA Assistant Wrestling Coach of the year, and Gwinnett county as-sistant Wrestling Coach of the Year.
He is a Graduate of the University of Ten-nessee at Chattanooga, where he was a scholarship athlete for the Mocs. Re-cruited by Terry Brands (former Olympic Training resident coach) wrestled for four and a half years before a career end-ing injury. As a Moc he competed for some of the Nation’s best coaches: Terry Brands (Iowa Asst. Coach), Joe Seay (‘96 Olympic coach), Sammie Henson (2000 Olympic Silver), and Chris Bono (3x World Team member).
A local product born and raised in Lil-burn, GA. Kyle McKee was a graduate of Parkview High School. He was captain of the 2004 State Championship wrestling team, 2x AAAAA State place winner, and 4 year starter. Along with wrestling, Coach McKee was a 3 year starter for the Panther football team, where he won 3 State Championships
and compiled a record
of 56-2

Assistant
Austin Traina
Austin Traina is the Assistant Coach at North Gwinnett High School. Coach Traina also previously coached at Brookwood High School, where he helped the Broncos to their sixth consecutive region championship, a third-place finish overall at the Gwinnett County Championships, and multiple state placements at the GHSA Individual Wrestling Championships in 2021. Coach Traina has experience working with both wrestlers on the high school and youth level. He is a 2019 graduate of Kennesaw State University, where he earned his BA in Sports Management and wrestled for the Owls until the club program was later dropped. He was also a previous assistant coach and, wrestled at Chattahoochee High School located in Johns Creek, Georgia under coach JJ Hicks. Coach Traina looks forward to working to develop our wrestlers both on and off the mat.
